There have been plenty of Peace Corps volunteers here in Moldova that have terminated their service early. For reasons unknown many have decided to leave. Possibly there were problems with work, home life, social interaction, or put simply, better opportunities outside of the Republic of Moldova and the Peace Corps.
In some cases health was a factor, whether physical or mental. In these cases I would hypothesize that the volunteer unfortunately had a health problem or was not taking good shape of their mind, body, and soul to the best of their ability. For myself, I know that my health, both physical and mental, is crucial to my happiness and motivation during Peace Corps service. Find out my three elements for maintaining good health, here:
