From January 2012 – July 2015, I will sparingly be in America. I will not be exposed to the same sights, sounds, and luxuries I have grown so accustomed to for my first 24 years of life. This time will be used to test myself mentally and emotionally, sometimes physically, in order to grow as a person. I need to start appreciating what I have and where I’m from and this is only the beginning. The mission will start in Guadalajara, Mexico for 4 months as I will be enrolled in intensive Spanish language training at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. With only one month home in Chicago, I will then travel to Moldova for a 2 year 3 month stint in the Peace Corps. After this, I will be rounding out my MBA degree in International Business at the University of South Carolina at the Moore School of Business and Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
I’m not sure what to make of these life choices, but I guess there’s only one way to find out!
